About Fi Fennell
Fi has spent her time as an artist working between two islands - the Isle of Wight and Grenada in the West Indies where she has explored both her photographic and painting practices.
Fi is a graduate of Winchester School of Art. Following a successful international career in events management Fi decided to change direction and undertook a degree in Fine Art. Since graduating she has been predominantly developing her photographic art practice which is centred on the experimentation and exploration around observation and cognitive perception.
Her photographic work attempts to capture the fleeting glance; using the camera to find the visual essence of a moment. She also plays with a variety of materials placed into nature to attempt to force an interruption as the observer questions what is taking place.
"capture the fleeting glance... the visual essence of a moment"
Fi is currently running a local art group, Affinity, for those wanting to explore their creative potential in a relaxed environment.
